Amy Kline

Amy Kline was born in Plattsburgh, New York. She began her studies in ceramics in 1985. Amy received a BFA in Ceramics from Alfred University. She then received an MFA in Sculpture from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. In 1995 Amy moved to Las Vegas, NV where she worked as a welder and taught ceramics at the College of Southern Nevada. Her devotion to ceramic education is influenced by her parents who were theater professors at Plattsburgh State University in New York. Amy began building Pottery West in 2002. Amy started working with Coleman porcelain in 2005. Creating forms is a 3-dimensional canvas for Amy to alter, sculpt, draw and incise. Her forms are inspired by her studies in figure drawing and graphic design. Celadon and micro-bubble glazes compliment the details of Amy’s work in porcelain. To see more of Amy Kline's work visit
