NCG Book and Video Lending Library

The new library location is in the Buffalo Drive/Washington Avenue area.  Contact Jill if you are interested in borrowing or donating a book or video.  Arrangements can be made for pick up or Jill can bring the item(s) to a general membership meeting.  This collection is a result of donations by members, so if you would like to add to the collection, contact Jill at 395-3150 or jczerwinski32@yahoo.com.

Local Classes in Clay

Aardvark Clay at Boulder Highway and Tropicana offers classes four nights a week as well as Saturdays. Seven classes are offered for $185, and Nevada Clay Guild members get half-price tuition and merchandise discounts also! Call 451-9898.

Pottery West at Buffalo and Lone Mountain offers the following: Pottery Classes are $75 for 7 weeks and includes a 25 lb. bag of clay with registration. Beginners are welcome and you can start anytime. Call Ruth Kline at 702-685-7573 for more info. A Six-Month Membership is $275 and includes 75 lbs. of B-Mix or Coleman Porcelain.

CSN offers Ceramics classes for college credit. They are mostly hand-building classes and the fee is $225.50 for 3 credits. They are held at the West Charleston Campus located at 6375 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas.

East Las Vegas Community and Senior Center offers classes. Located at SE corner of Eastern and Stewart.   Six weeks of classes cost approximately $60-$75.  Call 229-1515 for further information.

Henderson Multigenerational Center on Green Valley Parkway offers ceramics classes. Eight classes for $80. Call 267-5800.

Reed Whipple Cultural Arts Center offers pottery classes. $60-75 for six weeks, which includes 25 lbs. of clay, glazes and firing.   Located on Las Vegas Blvd., across from Cashman Field.  Phone 229-6211 for more information.

Silver Mesa Recreation Center in North Las Vegas offers six classes for $45 They are located at Alexander and Clayton and the phone number is 633-2550.
